Uzpulze (“we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored and disclosed when you use the Uzpulze mobile application, website and related services.
Depending on how you use Uzpulze, we may collect:
• Location information: With your permission, Uzpulze uses your device’s location to show nearby venues, determine when a device is within an authorised venue area and contribute to anonymous venue activity levels. Location access may operate while the app is in use and, where separately permitted, in the background.
• Venue-presence information: We may process a venue identifier, arrival or presence time, last-seen time and a pseudonymous device or session identifier. This information supports aggregated venue activity levels and is not intended to publicly identify individual users.
• Account information: Venue operators or other authorised account users may provide a name, email address, authentication information and details relating to their venue.
• Device and technical information: We may collect device type, operating system, app version, diagnostic information, crash information and basic usage information needed to operate, secure and improve Uzpulze.
• Information you provide: We collect information you submit through contact forms, support requests, venue claims, promotions or other features.
We use information to:
• Display nearby venues, promotions and events.
• Generate aggregated venue activity indicators.
• Operate and secure the Uzpulze service.
• Authenticate and support authorised venue accounts.
• Respond to enquiries and support requests.
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance.
• Prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorised access.
• Meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use precise location information to publicly identify individual users. Venues and other users are not provided with an individual user’s location history.
Uzpulze will request location access through your device. You can decline or withdraw permission through your device settings. Some nearby-venue and venue-activity functions may not operate correctly without location access.
Uzpulze uses location only for functions connected with nearby venues, venue presence and aggregated activity information. We do not intend to create or display a continuous public record of your movements.
We may use service providers to operate Uzpulze, including:
• Supabase for authentication, databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Google Maps Platform for maps and location-related services.
• Expo and related services for app delivery, updates and technical operation.
• Apple and Google services for app distribution and device functionality.
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and may operate infrastructure outside Australia.
We may share information:
• With service providers required to operate and support Uzpulze.
• When required by law, regulation, court order or lawful government request.
• To investigate fraud, security incidents or misuse.
• As part of a business sale, restructure or transfer, subject to appropriate privacy protections.
• With your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell users’ personal information.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security and enforce agreements.
Venue-presence information may be deleted, anonymised or aggregated when it is no longer required for live activity functions. Aggregated or de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies an individual may be retained for analytics and service improvement.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You may:
• Change location permissions through your device settings.
• Request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account or associated personal information.
• Contact us with a privacy question or complaint.
To request access, correction or deletion, email admin@uzpulze.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention or record-keeping purposes.
Uzpulze is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services or legal obligations change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
